KNAUF SZ-SUPERPLAST ORIGINAL:

Multi purpose use reinforced cementious finishing coat.

PROPERTIES

SZ-SUPERPLAST ORIGINAL has been developed to be used in a broad application range under unfavorable application and weather conditions . The product consists of a blend of Portland cement, hydrated lime, fine grade sand, chemical additives as well as redispersable powders and synthetic fibers.

The above formulation gives the product a very high bonding strength as well as a very high water retention. Due to its composition properties, SZ-SUPERPLAST ORIGINAL can be applied on substrates with high porosity and absorption as well as with applications that are undertaken under unfavorable weather conditions. (High temperature, dry wind and etc.)

APPLICATIONS

• Finishing coating.
• As a 3rd layer on surfaces of traditional 2nd layer plaster or machine applied plaster.
• Direct application for Fair Face surfaces without any further reinforcing.
• Direct application on textured surfaces.
• Thin plastering of Ytong brick and cement screed surfaces.
• Levelling and smoothing surfaces.
• Filling of cracks.

The very low absorbency after drying, makes SZ-SUPERPLAST ORIGINAL ideal for applications in areas with increased humidity.

MIXING

In a clean container with 8lt of clean water, add 25 kg of SZ-SUPERPLAST ORIGINAL and stir with an electric drill at low rpm until a homogeneous mass is formed. After allowing the mixture to "rest" for 3-5minutes, repeat the stirring.

COVERAGE

6kg of ready mixed product are needed for covering 1m² surface of 3mm thickness.

STORAGE

Due to the product's content in cement and various chemical additives, it should be well protected from rain and humidity. For this reason, storage should be made on wooden pellets in a humidity-free environment. Under ideal storage conditions the product can be used for a period of six months after its manufacturing.

Durability (against freeze/thaw): Evaluation based on provisions valid in the intended place of use of the mortar.
